 The Department of Mathematics was establishedin the year 2002. Earlier, only B. Sc. subsidiary were handled by theDepartment of Mathematics. In the year 2006, the Department of Mathematics hasbeen offering an honours course in Mathematics under Ranchi University, Ranchi.Our faculties are experts in the fields including pure and applied mathematics.The Department of Mathematics has around seventy books in its departmentlibrary. The faculties of the department have uploaded more than 400 lectureson youtube. The faculties are involved actively in research and otheractivities. Our students have succeeded in Civil services, NET and Gateexaminations with good ranks. The goal of the Mathematics Department is todevelop interest towards Mathematics and to create the relationship ofMathematics with other subjects. Most of the students are well placed indifferent public and private institutions.
